To all my Grade 12 learners in North West Province — your Physical Sciences Preparatory Exam is almost here. Paper 1 is on Friday, 11 September 2026, and Paper 2 follows on Monday, 14 September 2026, each running 3 hours. This is your dress rehearsal for the NSC finals, and how you prepare over these next two weeks matters.

1. Know exactly what’s coming

With Paper 1 and Paper 2 just three days apart, plan your revision so you’re not trying to cover everything the night before. Split your syllabus coverage across the two papers’ typical focus areas so each day of study has a clear target.

2. Practice with real NSC-style papers

Work through past Physical Sciences and Mathematics papers under timed conditions. Many of our North West Province learners underestimate how much time pressure affects performance — practicing at the real pace changes that.

3. Understand, don’t memorize

A formula without understanding won’t survive a well-worded exam question. Know why current splits in a parallel circuit, not just the formula for it.

4. Show your work, use correct units

Method marks matter in Physical Sciences and Mathematics. Neat, logical steps with correct units (dm³, m·s⁻¹, and so on) protect your marks even when the final answer isn’t perfect.

5. Manage your time in the exam room

Scan the whole paper first. Answer what you’re confident about first. Don’t let one tough question eat into time you need elsewhere.

To every learner preparing across North West Province schools — this is your moment to show what months of hard work have built. Join our WhatsApp study community for extra past papers, quizzes, and support as you head into the 11th and 14th of September.
